  Having a lag type fitting on one end of this turnbuckle allows the fitting to be conveniently screwed into a wood post of a cable railing or balustrade type system. While on the other end, this turnbuckle is fitted with a hand swage stud that is fixed onto the cable by crimping three times with a 20 inch hand swager. This fitting is available in two sizes to fit 1/8 or 3/16 inch cable. For maximum corrosion resistance, type 316 stainless steel is used to make the fitting.

    Designed with a swage end on one side of the fitting and lag threads on the other for screwing into wood posts, the hand swage lag studs are a popular choice for cable railing and balustrade applications. Available in two sizes to fit onto 1/8 and 3/16 inch cable, hand swage lag studs are made of marine grade type 316 corrosion resistant stainless steel. The swage end of the fitting requires three crimps from a 20 inch hand swage tool to secure the cable onto the fitting.
