The HFC, which is the continuous temperature measurement system by infrared,provides continuous reading of the steel temperature in the tundish with infrared detection technology. Accurate temperature measurement benefits the control of the casting speed and cooling water volume in the continuous casting process.Thus increasing the production of the caster, reducin the production accidents such as steel leakage and nozzle freezing, and avoiding t e quality accidents such as central segregation etc.At the same time, continuous temperature measurement of molten steel could take benefits to the automation of the cooling water distribution, reducing the labor intensity, and improving the safety.It is the most effective tool for the intelli gent continuous casting.
Principle and Composition of System
Principle of the System:
The temperature measurin tube (TMT) should be put into the tundish. And the bottom of the TMT must be immerse more than 260mm under the surface of the steel.The tempera ture of the TMT bottom will go to the equilibrium with the temperature of the molten steel.The detector is set at the exit of the TMT, receives the radiant energ from the bottom of TMT, converts the radiant energy signal into the electrical si9na , and then sends the electrical signal to the si nal processor.The signal processor receives the electri cal signal from the detector and ca culates the actual temperature of the molten steel. The temperature is displayed on the screen of the signal processor continuously.It can also connected to the Large screen disolayer to display the molten steel temperature clear ly.The signal _processor could also send the temperature signal to industrial controller via the communication interface, and control the casting speed and secondary cooling water.
Composition of System
The system is composed of TMT, detector, si nal processor, automatic cooling air con troller, large screen display, industrial contro er and so on.
Detektor:
The detector is a photoelectric conversion unit connecting the TMT and the signal processor.It converts the infrared signal from the TMT bottom to the electrical signal and transmit it to the signal rocessor.The detector is designed with the ust-proof system and air cooling system to ensure its running stable.
Large Screen display:
The Lar screen display is one of the out-put unit. W ose 8 inch high screen can clearly display the real-time temperature and the tundish number.Whose size is 650*100*300 (L*W*H) and could be set on any place that is safe and easy to read.
Signal Processor :
The signal processor is the key unit of the system. It receives the electrical signal from the detector and displays the continuous temperature after calculation.
The s n al processor is installed on the tundish car an moves with the tundish car.
Temperature measuring tube (TMT)
TMT is the temperature measuring device directly contacting with the molten steel. Depending on the different life time, the one ranging from 12 hours, 24 hours , 36 hours up to 48 hours are available.
On the other hand, based on the different depth of the tundish 850mm, 900mm, 1000mm, 1100mm and 1200mm products are available.If necessary, both non reheat ing and preheating versions are also availa le.
Industry Controller :
The industry controller is a selectable unit, which can be connected with the system through communication interface to realize continuous casting automation.
Automatic cooling air controller :
Which is the system air cooling safetr component, can provide continuous, stable and adequate cooling air volume and coo ing air pressure for the system. When in use, it is installed on the tundish car with the signal processor and moves with the tundish car.
